The Tick
So yes, Mia dominates this blog, but she is the most interesting thing goin on right now, so she gets the spotlight. Mia got her first Tick and she let me and Lance know. She started crying yesterday so I knew something was wrong because she never whines. Turned out she had a big fat tick on the back of her head. Lance held her down (she is pretty strong now) while I pulled it out. It took us a few tries to get it completely out. Nasty little bugger!
Mia chronology
So basically, Mia is getting big - frame-wise (she is still kinda scrawny, she needs to fill out more =). This is fine with me because Lance is going to start working nights and I need my protector ready to protect. It will just be nice to have some company at night. Look at how she's grown, keep in mind, she is only 7 months old now.

Me and My Mom (or "My mom and I")
Mia and Zack
So this is my mom's cat Zack. He is quite a character and has been since he was a kitten. He and Mia are the same age - 5 months old. He is a siamese cat and has the attitude to go with it. Mia and Zack met for the first time this passed weekend. Zack was very protective of his territory and hissed at Mia and kind of slapped at her with his paws. Mia, of course, was completely oblivious and was trying to play with him. She is going to be a superb guard dog =). Aren't all dogs instinctively supposed to hate cats? Not Mia. I could just hear her "Hi! I'm Mia, lets be friends!" Eventually, they will be friends. A Lion and the Lamb sort of thing, but I think Zack might be the Lion in the reationship.

Time for an Update
I realized I needed to update when I saw how little Mia was in the last pictures I posted. She is bigger now (her frame is bigger - she is pretty scrawny though =) She is still an adorable puppy, just bigger. I am counting down the days until spring break (2.5 left!) My body is ready for a break from soccer and I never say that. Well, let me rephrase that. I am ready for a break from 6 am weights and conditioning. Soccer I love, it's all of this torture I need a break from. My brain is ready for a break from school. Ok, whining is over, sorry, every once in awhile I have to vent. I do love soccer and my team, but this break is exactly what I need. I will try to update again tomorrow, I have to go to class!
